London-Innsbruck Colloquium on Status Epilepticus and Acute Seizures
These meetings have been held every two years since 2007 and the series has become a landmark meeting in the international epilepsy calendar.
The emphasis is on clinical medicine and translational neuroscience. The Colloquium will provide an update for clinicians on cutting edge clinical practice in relation to the diagnosis and treatment of status epilepticus and acute seizures, and put new developments into clinical context. The faculty includes 45 leading figures in the field of Status Epilepticus and Acute Seizures from 16 countries around the world.
The programme includes:
- Nobel prize lecture by the Nobel Laureate, Professor James Rothman
- 10 sessions covering a range of clinical areas with full lectures given by a renowned international faculty from 15 countries
- 2 ‘Data Blitz’ sessions where new work is presented in quick-fire 6 minute segments
- 3 Special workshops (on clinical research and orphan conditions, outcomes of status epilepticus, and status epilepticus due to nerve gases and poisons)
- 2 Satellite sessions
- 18 CPD credits (Continuous Professional Development)
A pre-Colloquium teaching course run in conjunction with the ILAE British Branch on at the National Hospital, Queen Square, on April 6th entitled EEG in status epilepticus and on the intensive care unit (for further details see ilaebritish.org.uk/events)
