Computational Psychiatry Course 2018
This course aims to equip the next generation of scientists and clinicians who study mental disorder with the tools to understand, to build, to analyse and to critically evaluate computational models of mental function and dysfunction.
Content
The Computational Psychiatry Course has been updated according to the feedback we received in 2017; it still focuses on how to use computational models yourself (Thu 26th July), but now includes more clinical examples (Fri 27th July), e.g. schizophrenia, depression, addiction, anxiety, autism, and OCD. Regarding the use of models, we shall cover:
- computational accounts of inference, choice and interaction between agents
- how dysfunction could arise in such accounts
- building models and designing experiments to test them
- fitting models to data
There will also be a keynote lecture (open to anyone, but priority to course attendees) on Wed 25th July at 6pm.
After the keynote lecture there will be a finger food and wine reception for all attendees.
