Studying at the Ear Institute

The UCL Ear Institute brings together some of the most influential academics and clinicians in the world with a passion to understand hearing and fight deafness.

Postgraduate study

Our teaching and research in audiology, otology and audiovestibular medicine are world leading. Our programmes draw on the expertise of senior clinicians from the NHS and private sector, including the associated Royal National Ear Nose & Throat and Eastman Dental Hospital.

Programmes for practising audiologists and medical professionals:
  • Advanced Audiology MSc
  • Advanced Audiology: Audiovestibular Medicine MSc

With our MSc Advanced Audiology courses for practising audiologists and medical professionals, you will:

  • Specialise within three pathways, choosing modules to complement your practice 
  • Learn about the latest research in each field and how to apply this to patient care and service delivery
  • Gain proficiency in using new tools and techniques in line with advanced-level practice

  • Audiological Science MSc
  • Audiological Science with Clinical Practise MSc

With our MSc Audiological Science courses, you will:

  • Receive full training in audiology from the experts, in the classroom, lab and clinic
  • Learn about hearing and balance mechanisms, their structure, function, pathology and assessment
