Join us for the inaugural UCL Ear Institute / Royal National ENT Voice Course, a comprehensive and cutting-edge program designed for ENT clinicians, trainees, and speech and language therapists looking to advance their skills in the assessment and management of voice disorders.
Hosted at the world-renowned Royal National ENT Hospital and University College London, the course brings together leading experts in laryngology, voice science, and phonosurgery to deliver an immersive blend of lectures, live demonstrations, and hands-on training.
The full course includes a half-day session for delegates wishing to gain practical competencies in the VOIS implant system and laser techniques. Laser certification is available on completion of the practical section.
The two day in person course will be supplemented by:
- Lecture based sessions
- Small group sessions focused on learning specific skills
- Practical skills training with surgical instruments and anatomical models
- Case based discussions to enable open discussion between delegates and experts
- Develop a thorough understanding of the anatomy and physiology of voice production
- Acquire the skills to take a comprehensive patient history for individuals with voice disorders, including professional voice users such as singers
- Learn to assess the voice in a clinical setting using endoscopy, stroboscopy, and voice acoustic analysis
- Gain insight into the best treatment approaches for common voice disorders
- Build technical proficiency in performing thyroplasty and handling microsurgical instruments

Places can be booked by credit/debit card up to 48 hours before the start of the course, subject to availability.
All cancellations and refund requests for Ear Institute Short Courses must be submitted in writing to: ear.courses@ucl.ac.uk.
1. Cooling‑Off Period
You may cancel your place within 7 days of making the payment and receive a full refund, unless this 7‑day period falls within 14 days of the course start date. In that case, the standard cancellation terms apply.
2. Cancellations Made After 7 Days of Payment
If you cancel more than 7 days after payment and 14 or more days before the course start date, you will receive a refund minus a 20% administration charge.
3. Cancellations Made Less Than 14 Days Before the Course Start Date
If you cancel your place fewer than 14 days before the course start date, no refund will be issued.
4. Replacement Delegates and Full Courses
A refund request may be considered if the course is full and a replacement delegate is found to take your place. This includes nominating a colleague or offering the place to someone on the waiting list. A 20% administration charge applies.
5. Deferrals
It is not possible to defer your place to a course running in the next academic year. Moving your booking to another course running in the same academic year might be possible subject to availability.
6. Refund Payments
Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving your written cancellation and issued using the same method of payment.
