Prof Andres Ramos awarded MRC Programme Grant

Congratulations to Andres Ramos who has been awarded an MRC Programme grant for the project ‘Molecular basis of local mRNA translation in neuronal development’. The research asks how RNA-binding proteins can recognise and regulate large networks of functionally related mRNA targets during neuronal development, and how their action on individual genes is integrated to obtain specific morphological changes.

The Programme is a collaboration between UCL, the Francis Crick Institute, Barts, the UK Dementia Research Institute and the University of East Anglia. The grant will run from 2024 to 2029.
