Jürg Bähler has secured funding for three PhD students from the Dunhill Medical Trust with support from GEE. These students are now being recruited and will study fundamental aspects of ageing (UCL Institute of Healthy Ageing History – University College London).

Jürg has also gained a Leverhulme Trust grant for a 4-year Research Project. The project will focus on functionally characterizing unknown genes associated with ageing.

Several members of the IHA were successful in gaining funding from the Wellcome Institutional Strategic Support Fund. The awardees, Kerri Kinghorn, John Labbadia, Teresa Niccoli and Nathan Woodling, will benefit from these extra funds in light of the research time lost due to the pandemic. Congratulations!
