Congratulations to Dr Karin Tuschl for her MRC Clinician Scientist Fellowship

We are pleased to report that Karin Tuschl, UCL GOS Institute of Chile Health, was recently awarded an MRC Clinician Scientist Fellowship of £1.6 million for four years to investigate the role of manganese in brain physiology and disease.
The Tuschl group, which will join Zebrafish UCL (http://zebrafishucl.org/) and collaborate closely with Steve Wilson’s lab in CDB, will study zebrafish disease models of inherited manganese transporter defects with the view to developing new treatment strategies for this group of neurodegenerative disorders.
