RNA Polymerase III, Ageing and Longevity
6 July 2021
A review of the current understanding of RNA Pol III’s role in ageing, lifespan in different model organisms and the potential of Pol III as a therapeutic target to improve age-related health in humans.
The involvement of RNA polymerase III in ageing is an emerging research theme, pioneered by the Alic lab in the IHA. A collaborative effort between the Alic lab, the Tullet lab at University of Kent and the Selman lab at the University of Glasgow has resulted in a mini-review of the topic, now published in Frontiers in Genetics.
