Living History: How Energy Shapes Life

Some 300 staff, students, friends and family of Professor Lane and colleagues past and present, filled the Cruciform Lecture Theatre at UCL.
They came to hear Nick’s engaging talk recounting his career as a biochemist and as a science writer and his scientific ups and downs through the work of his students and post-docs.
This inaugural lecture marks Nick’s appointment as Professor of Evolutionary Biology within the UCL Research Department of Genetics Evolution & Environment.
