"People and Nature Positive approaches for the Infrastructure Industry" by Experts from Mott MacDonald
Abstract : The legislative and investment-driven focus on nature within infrastructure development is accelerating, with increased recognition that economies and societies depend on thriving and resilient ecosystems. Nature is now the opportunity. However, requirements for infrastructure development projects and businesses to deliver new nature targets, as well as other sustainability targets such as net zero, climate resilience and wellbeing, can seem challenging. But the opportunities are significant, especially the positive benefits that nature – as part of our infrastructure - can generate for communities and for society. This talk presents a case study on a Nature and People Positive approach for the infrastructure industry, looking at both the Nature perspective, the community perspective and then how these are brought together. Join us to hear from industry experts and practical real-world examples.
