'Nutrient regulation of cell fate and turnover – an organ-wide approach'

Zoom at: https://ucl.zoom.us/j/91442854347 *

*please note: this talk will not be recorded

Talk abstract: Nutrient intake impacts the homeostasis of adult organs: in addition to metabolic changes, nutrients can affect organ size, cellular composition and turnover. Spatial heterogeneity of organ physiology is currently emerging, but how it is reflected to the control of organ homeostasis remains poorly understood. I will discuss our work on the Drosophila midgut, using an organ-wide approach to understand the molecular mechanisms mediating nutrient control of cell fate and turnover in a region-specific manner.
