Abstract: The hypothalamus is located in the inner brain and plays an important role in coordinating many fundamental biological functions, including energy homeostasis, reproduction and circadian rhythm. In this talk, we will discuss how we used the latest single-cell and spatial transcriptomic technologies in order to map the cellular populations in this brain region in both mice and humans. We will also look into the interspecies difference in neuronal populations involved in food intake control.
