Abstract: The glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor is a major therapeutic target in obesity and type 2 diabetes. Ben will discuss work focussed on how ligand-specific GLP-1R signalling profiles can be linked to therapeutically relevant physiological responses, and how naturally occurring coding variants in the GLP-1R can impact functional responses.
