I
am a MRes student from MRes Biosciences in the UCL Research Department
of Cell & Developmental Biology. I am working on a project
to investigate the role of the segmentation clock in both normal and
ectopic somite formation in avian embyos. I am aiming to create a
comprehensive 3D model of ectopic somitogenesis, by comparing somite
formation in both chick and quail embryos to highlight
parameters that contribute and affect somite formation and sizing.
