Congratulations to Hazel Smith, Andrea Townsend-Nicholson and Suzanne Ruddy on being awarded SLMS Innovation grants. The grants will be used to implement an exciting Chemistry module for Biological Science students; develop interactive online tutorials for Bioscience students and strengthen links with Yale and to produce films that showcase research laboratories to our undergraduate students.

Walking with Gosse

UCL Emeritus Professor Roger Wotton (Research Department of Genetics, Evolution and Environment) was recently interviewed regarding his new book called 'Walking with Gosse: Natural History, Creation and Religious Conflicts'. Philip Henry Gosse was a famous naturalist and science populariser in the 20th Century and is now known as his era’s answer to David Attenborough.  Professor Wotton tells us why Gosse was such a fascinating character.
