Volunteering opportunities with UCL Advances

11 June 2014

UCL Advances has a fun and engaging volunteering opportunity for you!

Citrus Saturday is UCL Advances’ entrepreneurship programme for kids – we need your help as mentors to them them during 2 Saturday workshops then on market stalls across London.

Students or staff from any department are welcome, the role involves helping kids (11 to 15) from local schools to work in groups while learning from UCL staff about how to start a business. You’ll then work with your group to run a lemonade stall!

The commitment is quick, and expenses, full training, and a references will be provided.

  • Training and briefing: Wed 18 June 3-5pm or 6-8pm
  • Workshop 1: Sat 21 June (morning + lunch)
  • Workshop 2: Sat 28 June (morning + lunch)
  • Citrus Saturday! Selling on market stalls: 5 July (all day)

It’s great fun and you’ll learn a lot as well as help some young people gain new skills; here’s what previous volunteers have said:
