Darwin gets festive with sciency baubles
12 December 2017
The Darwin Common Room Christmas tree Xmas Bauble competition fired the imagination of some of our more creative researchers and there were some great entries to decorate our tree with this year.
It was a close run thing, with Helen Chatterjee’s Museum and Wellbeing Baubles a close runner-up, but the winner, chosen by Head of Department Professor Andrew Pomiankowski was Maria Secrier's bauble depicting the evolution of the cancer genome and its interaction with immune cells.
Thanks to everyone for taking part and those in the building who came to admire the tree and partake of some festive mince pies, stollen and Christmas cake.
