Lecturer or Associate Professor position available in Experimental Biological and Optical Physics

To strengthen and expand our research and teaching activities at the interface between optical physics and biological/soft-matter physics, the Department of Physics and Astronomy at UCL seek to appoint a new member of academic staff. We expect this new academic to bring in world-leading expertise in the development and application of advanced optical methods in the context of experimental biological and soft matter physics. The successful candidate will take advantage of the many opportunities for collaboration with UCL’s life science research community. In this way they will strengthening UCL’s research activities at the physics/life-sciences interface, where our Institute for the Physics of Living Systems currently plays a key enabling role. Depending on experience and track record, an appointment at the Lecturer (UK eq. Assistant-Professor) or Associate Professor level is foreseen.
