New ERC Grant to Dr Andela Saric

IPLS Fellow Dr Andela Saric has been awarded a €1.5 million ERC Starting grant to study protein assembly far from thermodynamic equilibrium involved in key biological processes.
The research will pursue to understand how bare building blocks create the machinery of life.
Dr Saric is based in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. Her lab develops coarse-grained computer models of self-assembly in biological and biomimetic systems. Find out more about her research group here and about other 2018 ERC starting grant recipients here.
