  • PhD in Molecular Microbiology (University of Paris-Sud, France)
  • Diploma in Molecular Biology and Physiology (University of Belgrade, Serbia)

Research Interests

As a PDRA at UCL Biochemical Engineering, I am currently working, in collaboration with an industrial partner, on a project that aims to discover and develop novel enzymes for synthesis of high value chemicals in the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industry. A functional metagenomics approach is used to obtain the enzymes and involves total DNA preparation from different environments, high-throughput DNA sequencing, in silico mining of metagenome data as well as enrichment metagenomics and cDNA metagenomics.
