James Allen made HEA Fellow

UCL Arena awards fellowships on the basis of staff members’ experience of teaching, supporting students’ learning or leading an aspect of education at UCL.

The reviewers' feedback in this application commended him in particular for

• ‘proactively seeking out opportunities which go beyond the usual roles and responsibilities of research-focused staff’
• ‘commitment to and direct engagement with issues of widening participation
• ‘mentoring of colleagues in research roles.'
