In 2020 John was awarded a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship to use virus lasers to reinvigorate process analytical technology for biological manufacturing. Virus lasers allow for biopharmaceutical products to be tested "in real time" during manufacturing meaning greater efficiency and reliability, with the additional possibility of being a new fast, precise diagnostic technology. John will be presenting the fourth of six taster lectures at UCL Biochemical Engineering, the UK's only university to have a department dedicated to this exciting and world-changing subject. John will give a half-hour online lecture on virus lasers. Afterward, he'll be joined by Professor Paul Dalby for a question and answer session. These taster lectures will give you a chance to find out about the subjects we teach and research, you'll be able to meet our lecturers and researchers and you can put your questions to the team. We look forward to welcoming you.
