Life Science and Engineering Opportunities in Biochemical Engineering
EPSRC 4-year PhD studentships for October 2016

The Centre for Doctoral Training offers four-year PhD studentships within the EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Emergent Macromolecular Therapies, hosted at UCL.
Research projects will address new challenges in biophysical analysis, characterisation and understanding of the behaviour of proteins during bioprocess manufacturing and upon formulation for administration into patients. PhD projects are suitable for candidates with a good first degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, computer science, chemistry, biochemical engineering, and chemical engineering.
Studentships will be based across one or more collaborative partners of the Centre, which currently include UCL, Imperial College, University of Cambridge, University of Manchester, University of Strathclyde (Glasgow), Aston University, University of Birmingham. All students will receive structured training delivered by the collaborating partners.

Full scholarships are available to home students, or EU students resident in the UK for the preceding 3 years. Partial scholarships are available to EU students not resident in the UK. International students able to provide funding are also eligible.
