Uni-Link Students Visit Biochemical Engineering
27 July 2016
We were pleased to welcome two classes of year 12 A-Level students to the UCL Department of Biochemical Engineering this week as part of the Uni-Link programme. Uni-Link students are linked with a department or faculty at UCL related to the degree they would like to study at university and attend a series of subject specific events throughout Year 12 and 13.
"The students were looking at the different aspects towards bioreactor design/operation. The students were split into two challenges; creating a control loop for a bioreactor using Arduino with James Lawrence and Darryl Kong, and measuring viscosity and mixing patterns with different impellers with myself and Michael Martinez," said Sheun Oshinbolu, one of the team who supervised the activities.
