Biochemical Engineering Undergraduates' winning poster going to parliament

2 February 2018

The UCL Office of the Vice-Provost (Education and Student Affairs) competition for undergraduate research posters took place on Tuesday 30th January featuring several entries from Biochemical Engineering. We're very pleased to announce that a poster submitted by a team of our 2nd year students has been selected for presentation in parliament on the 20th of February. Their poster on the subject "Analysis of spent coffee grounds as a feasible feedstock to meet bioethanol production demands" won praise from the judges. Congratulations to Aoife Bye, Enya Gomes Clynch, Sofia Spassova and Douglas Head (left to right in photo) and good luck later this month!

“It’s such a privilege to have been chosen to represent both the Department of Biochemical Engineering and UCL in Parliament. We are incredibly proud of the work we have produced and are excited to see the impact it can have in hopefully generating awareness on sustainability and undergraduate research as a whole.” Said Enya.
