New study explores attitudes toward data privacy and personalised health apps

Apps are making personalised health advice possible – but what do people think about their privacy risks?

Our Senior Research Fellow, Dr Vivi Antonopoulou, has co-authored a new study investigating how people in London and Hong Kong view data privacy and their willingness to use personalised health apps.

The research team surveyed 1,000 participants in each city, exploring how factors such as trust, transparency and data control influence people’s comfort in sharing personal information through digital health tools.
