The CBC is growing: new roles to support our work

4 December 2024

Susan Michie, Co-Director of the CBC, says "this investment enhances the CBC's ability to support a wide range of behaviour change initiatives, ensuring a strong foundation for the Centre's future."

We are pleased to share that UCL is providing targeted funding for three new permanent roles at the Centre for Behaviour Change (CBC). This investment will support the continued development of our consultancy, training, teaching, and research activities.

The first of these roles, a Research Consultancy and Training Fellow, will focus on expanding the CBC’s consultancy portfolio. This position involves working with partners across public, private, and third-sector organisations to apply behaviour change science to their work. This might include delivering research projects, offering strategic advice, creating tailored training courses, or supporting long-term capability-building efforts.

The role also includes contributing to the CBC’s annual International Training Programme, which offers a range of behaviour change courses at various levels, as well as supporting the Behaviour Change MSc teaching and research project supervision. Applications for the Research Consultancy and Training Fellow will open later in December, with a deadline in mid-January.

The remaining two posts will be advertised in 2026 and 2027, as part of a phased expansion of the CBC’s team.

Susan Michie, Director of the CBC, commented: “This investment enhances the CBC’s ability to support a wide range of behaviour change initiatives, ensuring a strong foundation for the Centre’s future and contribute to the financial success of the Division, the Faculty and UCL. We look forward to welcoming applications for the new Research Consultancy and Training Fellow role.”
