Please tell us a bit about yourself.

My research interests include strategies to increase engagement in and alternative models of pulmonary rehabilitation programmes for people living with chronic lung conditions and rehabilitation programmes for people living with multiple long-term conditions.
What brought you to the Centre for Behaviour Change.
In September 2024 I completed the Centre for Behaviour Change's course on Applied Principles and Practice of Behaviour Change.
I was interested in learning more about behaviour change to co-design an intervention: a very brief behavioural change intervention to support healthcare professionals to discuss pulmonary rehabilitation referral with people living with a lung disease called chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. At present, I am undertaking 1:1 qualitative interviews with 39 people living with COPD and healthcare professionals to explore the barriers and facilitators of pulmonary rehabilitation referral and uptake, and how to best refer a patient to pulmonary rehabilitation. I will then undertake co-design activities (workshops and focus groups) to develop the intervention.
How did you find the course?
I particularly enjoyed the schedule and pacing. It was really helpful that I could use the course to help me develop my project.
“It allowed me to apply what I was learning directly to my project. If you're thinking about signing up to the course, I'd say go ahead, I highly recommend it."
What have you gained from the course?
As a result of taking the course, I have a greater understanding of how to undertake a behavioural analysis which is important for my project.
