Arts and Sciences (BASc)

The structure of the BASc degrees are broadly similar to those of other UCL degrees, however, the number of modules you take in your major and minor pathway each year is fairly rigid and you must take and complete 120 credits each year.

Equality and Diversity concerns: If you are unable for reasons of safety or significant discrimination to go to the country you are expected to go to for your year abroad, we will endeavour to find an alternative placement (in a different country) wherever possible. Where this does not prove possible, arrangements for transfer to the three-year programme (without a year abroad) will be made.

In Year 2, you may choose 30 credits from your major pathway and 15 credits from your minor, or 45 credits from your major and 30 credits from your minor (if you choose to only take one of the Core modules and one of the Interdisciplinary Electives listed above). It is not possible to study more than 15 credits in your minor pathway during Year 1, but it is possible to study 30 credits in your second and final year.
