ESRC has announced funding for a UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources-led international collaborative project on the green economy.

The project brings together researchers from China, Germany, France, The Netherlands and the UK, and will be funded through research councils from those countries.

The SINCERE project (SINo-european Circular Economy and Resource Efficiency) will be developing new economic modelling tools, addressing indicators, institutions and policies, and it will examine historical patterns between CE/RE and macro-economic performance. An overall aim is to strengthen collaboration between European and Chinese researchers.

UCL ISR contact is Prof Raimund Bleischwitz.
