Julie will explain the role of the Office for Environmental Protection, particularly the role of the OEP in monitoring the governments of England and Northern Ireland’s progress against their own environmental targets and plans, and discuss how the analysis and presentation of states, trends and prospects can have maximum influence, including in the context of international dialogues such as COP29. Julie will be joined by two discussants: Professor Paul Ekins and Freya Roberts.
