About this event
The world is at stake. Facts & figures on nearly all aspects of the negative impacts of our way of doing business are prevalent and publicly available. Yet, the immediate effects of this changing truth are seemingly too far away and we do not translate knowledge into urgency and action. Jan will talk about current trends and developments in the area of sustainable finance, the hard facts of a new societal truth and how a joint vision of the future we want can create grassroots change at all levels. How can we jointly engage to change finance to finance change and how can ideas of sovereign democracy and new forms of leadership guide our way? Let’s discuss!
About the speaker
Jan is 34 years old and works for the German sustainability bank GLS Bank and heads the department on impact transparency and sustainability since April 2018. In parallel, Jan revived the sustainability management of GLS Bank, works on the revision towards a new sustainability reporting framework for the bank and helped implementing a toolkit to align the business activities of GLS with the Paris agreement and the SDGs. Prior to joining his current position Jan worked for the European business network CSR Europe in Brussels and the sustainability rating agency imug/Vigeo Eirisi Hanover.
