Dongyang Pan

Mr Dongyang Pan (潘冬阳) is currently a doctoral researcher at University College London (UCL). He also serves as the UK coordinator for the International Institute of Green Finance (IIGF), and a member of editorial office for the Journal of Sustainable Finance and Investment (JSFI). He is an awardee of CSC-UCL Joint Research Scholarship.

Dongyang obtained both his Bachelor’s (2013) and Research Master’s (2017) degrees in Economics (Financial Engineering) from China’s Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE). He was a visiting student in University of Edinburgh Business School. During undergraduate study, Dongyang also audited courses in UC Berkeley and Peking University.

Prior to join UCL, Dongyang served as a volunteer for one year (2013-2014) as a lecturer in Tibet Vocational and Technical College, and then as a civil servant in Tibetan Department of Education (on secondment). Dongyang was a research assistant (2015-2017) at the International Institute of Green Finance, where he acted as an investigator for several research projects including a joint report on green finance with UNEP, two development plans for green financial system (for Quzhou city in Zhejiang province and Xiong’an New District).

Dongyang’s research interest mainly lies in green finance. He also interests in financial policy, macroeconomics, sustainable development. In addition, he has a general interest in social sciences, computer technology, geography, media, biology and medical science. Dongyang enjoys non-competitive sports including hiking and swimming after work.
