About the Architecture Application Speaker Series
Are you in Year 12-13 and thinking about applying to study Architecture at university? Would you like to gain valuable advice on the Architecture application process to help you plan and submit applications for Higher Education?
The Bartlett Outreach Team are running an online Architecture Application Speaker series, where you will have the opportunity to engage in sessions uniquely designed to focus on different components of the application process.
The sessions have been designed by Architecture students, sharing the tips and advice they wish they would have received when applying and during the sessions, you will have the opportunity to receive detailed insights into the specific components of the Architecture application process. The sessions will feature a presentation on the specific topic for around 30-40 minutes, followed by time for a Q&A and the opportunity to have your questions answered.

Do you know how to structure and write your personal statement?
In this session, you will receive guidance on how to structure and write your personal statement. You will receive an insight into the do’s/don’ts of personal statement writing, in addition to going over some examples, including from previous Architecture personal statements. Our Architecture UCL students will also share their top tips and you will have the chance to ask them questions.
Are you overwhelmed by the number of potential university options? How do you know which one is right for you?
In this session, you will learn about how to research different universities and their degree programmes. Architecture is taught differently at different institutions, so in this session, you will learn advice on how to analyse the different Architecture degree programmes to enable you to make comparisons and select the one which is right for you. Our Architecture students will also discuss other factors which could influence your university choice.
Are you in the process of preparing your portfolio as part of your Architecture higher education applications?
In this session, you will receive practical tips from UCL Architecture students on how to layout a portfolio. You will receive an insight into the do’s/don’ts of portfolio layout, in addition to going over some examples of different portfolio layouts. Our Architecture UCL students will also share their top tips and you will have the chance to ask them questions.
