Grand Challenges Doctoral Network
A student led Doctoral Network for aligning academic research with grand challenges.
About
This doctoral network is intended to bring together doctoral candidates across the Bartlett and the wider UCL community interested in aligning academic research with grand challenges.
We intend to advance knowledge on this alignment through two areas:
- The first concerns what kind of academic research can directly target the technical, social, political, cultural, ethical and economic dimensions of grand challenges;
- The second concerns how to better align academic practice and institutions to address grand challenges.
What do we as early career scholars need to work towards addressing grand challenges? What role can we as academics, and academia more broadly, play in addressing such challenges?
