The aim of the project was to develop and improve the existing AMA Workware software toolkit, a set of methods for understanding how best to design and manage office workspace to aid business interaction, by creating more streamlined processes and producing a product suitable for licensing.
AMA has built, and regularly uses a software toolkit, AMA Workware to provide information input to its occupancy research, space programming and design for new ways of working. To assist in the planned expansion of the project client, it was necessary to develop this toolkit further by creating more streamlined processes and this will have the result of producing a product which is suitable for licensing.

The project achieved the objectives as set-out in the original proposal, within the time frames set and within budget. This initial work stage has led to the successful launch of further pilot projects that have the potential to deliver the new toolkit as originally planned. The project was taken in-house after 11 months.
As a result of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership the client was able to achieve a clearer perspective on their key competitors and their service offerings based on a competitor analysis completed by the associate. This project has also identified a number of key clients for further work in this area and has identified a number of key requirements for their website.
