Online Planning aims to cover and discuss issues ranging from the impact of the Internet on the planning process to techniques for enhancing planning-based websites.
The site includes various demonstrations of Internet based Virtual Reality which have wide ranging implications for the planning and urban design community. Online Planning also includes a fully referred electronic Journal set up to both focus and advance academic discussion on issues raised by developing an on-line planning system.
Online Planning is the focus behind many of the research projects at CASA. The latest being Woodberry Down Regeneration, a site which provides a virtual tour and raised funding to wire residents homes with free internet access to allow public participation in the planning and design process.
