In a time of Covid-19, thinking about the planning, management and design of healthcare infrastructure, from hospitals to care homes, has never been more critical and linked to survival. How can we still provide high quality healthcare when hospital premises had to be repurposed?

This’ll be a chance to reflect on new technologies such as telehealth, and how we can introduce bringing back the backbones of the health service that were almost incapacitated during the first wave. It’s a vital time to evaluate whether we can take this opportunity to improve our healthcare environments, not only for the immediate situation, but also for the future.

The MSc Healthcare Facilities enables you to develop a deep understanding of the complex intersections between health and care, as well as the physical environment in which they takes place, so as to help us survive and thrive. In this session, MSc Course Director Dr Evangelia Chrysikou will tell you about the programme, including how it addresses contemporary issues like the above, and will answer any questions you have.
