Studying at IIPP during COVID-19
At IIPP, we are dedicated to rethinking the role of the State, and this current crisis has only underscored how vital and in-demand this work is. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have been advising governments, influencing public debates, convening experts, and working with Master of Public Administration (MPA) students tackling COVID-19 in both their placements and thesis research. This work matters.
Our strategy builds on what we have learned through successfully shifting our teaching online in recent months. We have focused on relationships between faculty and students, and this will continue in the coming academic year. Across our modules we are increasing interactivity, decreasing group sizes, and taking advantage of online capabilities. For autumn of 2020, we are planning on a mix of face-to-face and online seminars (in groups up to 15 students); all large lectures will be online. Safety remains the top priority, so these plans will continually be updated to reflect the public health situation in the UK.
