IIPP Policy Studio MPA Scholarship

About the scholarship

The IIPP Policy Studio Scholarship aims to bring diverse and global talent to join the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose's (IIPP's) Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Innovation, Public Policy and Public Value. This scholarship is aimed at students who identify with the Institute's approach to policy collaborations, where we bridge theory and practice, particularly in relation to new economic thinking and public sector innovation.  

Our policy collaborations co-design and test creative and practical scalable solutions to address pressing societal challenges – from inequality to the climate emergency. The Institute’s policy work is informed by research at the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose, focusing on rethinking public value, shaping innovation, transforming institutions, and redirecting finance.  

This scholarship, funded by Laudes Foundation, is fully-funded to cover the cost of MPA tuition fees, and is available to both home and overseas students on a full-time basis. Students may have the possibility of working together on group projects that benefit the research and policy work of the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose.  

Scholarship applicants will be assessed across four areas: 

• Academic and/or professional excellence.  
• Interest in one or more of the research themes of the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose, ie rethinking public value, shaping innovation, transforming institutions, or redirecting finance.  
• Financial need.  
• Successful application to the Innovation, Public Policy and Public Value MPA.
