Tin Yan Cheung
Tin Yan Cheung is a student in the 2025-26 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
Iris came from a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship, a foundation that nurtured her interest in organisational strategy, innovation, and how institutions create value for society. She previously worked in marketing for a real estate company, where she gained hands-on experience in stakeholder engagement, communication, and understanding how policy environments shape business opportunities.
These experiences motivated her to pursue a Master’s in Public Policy and Public Value, allowing her to apply her business background to the public sector context. Iris is eager to connect with like-minded peers, exchange perspectives, and learn collaboratively. Her academic journey reflects a growing interest in how effective governance, innovation, and institutional reform can strengthen communities. Iris sees her academic and professional development as a continuous journey, one that blends her entrepreneurial mindset with a commitment to strengthening public institutions and contributing meaningfully to the future of Hong Kong.
