Sugheson Nagarajan
Sugheson Nagarajan is a student in the 2025-26 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
Drawing on his 5 years as an economist at Bank Negara Malaysia (the Central Bank of Malaysia), Sugheson has experience in macroeconomic policymaking, in both monetary and fiscal domains.
His work involved surveillance, policy advocacy, and research on the fiscal-monetary nexus and public sector affairs, covering a broad array of policy areas. These include fiscal-monetary interactions & coordination, fiscal reforms (such as tax, energy subsidies, and fiscal rules), social protection reforms, sovereign credit ratings, and investor relations.
With a keen interest in central banking and macroeconomic policymaking, he hopes to remain guided by his curiosity in exploring and contributing towards meaningful work.
