Ottavia Porcellini
Ottavia Porcellini is a student in the 2025-26 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
Before joining the MPA, Ottavia served as a Consular Administrative Intern at the Honorary Consulate of San Marino in London, where she supported diplomatic engagement with UK institutions, prepared official correspondence, and managed digital communications.
Her prior academic and professional experiences have equipped her with a solid foundation in researching public policy and emerging technologies. During her undergraduate studies in Politics and Business Management at Queen Mary University of London, she explored the intersection of technology, governance, and democracy. Her dissertation examined how AI-enabled misinformation campaigns influence voter behaviour, highlighting the ethical and regulatory challenges of technological misuse.
She also contributed to a Citizens UK policy seminar on housing inequality in East London, developing data-driven recommendations for fairer rent policies, and gained early legal experience at a law firm in Italy, where she observed how regulation shapes social outcomes.
Originally from Italy and based in the UK for six years, she is passionate about designing innovation frameworks that balance progress with ethics, and about exploring how education and wellbeing can be reimagined through responsible governance.
Nationality: Italian
