Mayuko Yasumura
Mayuko Yasumura is a student in the 2025-26 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
Mayuko Yasumura is a policy designer who is passionate about driving innovation in society, particularly in the field of agriculture and the food industry. As a government official in Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, she has worked on diverse projects, including bilateral negotiations between European countries and Japan, fisheries policies, and HR management. Through her five-year career, she has recognised the importance of creative and flexible organisation to make innovative policies. At UCL, she hopes to deepen her understanding both theoretically and practically, to contribute to make sustainable and innovative agriculture.
