José is a lawyer (University Católica of Chile), Msc in Public Policy & Administration (LSE), and member of IIPP MPA's first cohort. His work experience is mostly in Chile, including positions as legislative coordinator in Democracia y Comunidad think tank, regional development advisor at the Ministry of Interior, and university teacher. He has also been a research assistant in diverse projects at IIPP. As an activist, José has served as student representative during his undergraduate studies and president of UCL's Chilean Society, as well as co-founder and president of Nosotros Ciudadanos, NGO promoting civic engagement in Chile. His main interests are citizen participation, democratic innovation, local planning.
