Jakob Kofler

Jakob Kofler was a student in the 2019 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).

Jakob Kofler
Jakob studied the tumultuous and beneficial aspects of technological change and innovation from organisational, economic and policy perspectives. He is interested in how to shape science, technology and innovation policies to tackle grand challenges like the climate crisis, while at the same time contribute to a just society. Next to his academic endeavors, he worked on several technology transfer projects for public research institutions including the European Organization for Nuclear Research and the Fraunhofer SIT. Jakob has an in-depth understanding of innovation ecosystems and the challenges that lie in aligning several private and public actors to promote technological advancements.
