Marcella Germano

Marcella Germano is a student in the 2021-22 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).

Marcella is interested in the intersection of politics, business, and technology, primarily how public-private partnerships catalyze innovation and promote social-economic development. During the MPA, she developed a fascination for how cities can be inductors of development and innovation and address society's most pressing challenges. Before coming to London, she worked in politics and biotech startups in Brazil. Marcella is an alumnus of the São Paulo Innovation and Science Diplomacy School, where she collaborated with the guidelines for the 'São Paulo Framework of Innovation Diplomacy', which is now being used by countries in Asia and Latam. She's a Chevening-Anglo American Scholar and an Eisenhower Youth Fellow. She graduated in International Relations and has attended global youth initiatives that seek to advance sustainable development by fostering innovation and cross-national collaboration. Marcella is from Rio de Janeiro and assures that you haven't lived if you haven't been to Rio's Carnival.
