Christopher Michaels

Christopher Michaels is a student in the 2020-21 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).

Christopher is interested in how IIPP's ideas of public value and public purpose, and the role of innovation can help reshape our understanding of the arts and cultural industries. Christopher is Director of Digital, Communications and Technology at The National Gallery in London, and co-director of innovation lab National Gallery X. He has acted as an advisor to Arts Council England, the AHRC, the Canada Council of the Arts, UK5G, Qatar Museums, the Singapore National Heritage Board and The Humboldt Forum.
