Anca Tacu

Anca Tacu is the SDSN UK Network Manager at the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP).

Anca is the Network Manager for the UK hub of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), playing a key role in the growth and strategic development of the network. The SDSN UK hub is hosted by the IIPP, and it brings together and mobilises higher education institutions within the UK around practical solutions that contribute to the implementation of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As part of her work at the IIPP, Anca has also supported the Biscay Fiscal (Tax) Policy and the SDGs project, which included project management as well as externally-facing communication and research translation activities. In addition, Anca has directly contributed as a researcher and author to the ‘Measuring Up 2.0’ report, a key publication produced by the UN Global Compact Network UK.

Anca joined the Institute from the UCL School of Pharmacy, where she managed the successful delivery of an international UCL consultancy project to support the New Giza University (NGU) in Egypt in establishing a high-quality Pharmacy undergraduate programme.

Anca holds an MSc in Management with Business Strategy and the Environment from Birkbeck College, University of London. She speaks several languages, including her native Romanian, French and Spanish.
