Graphics Skills Portal
The Portal is a starting point for extended learning aimed at:
- helping students to understand and develop core urban design and planning concepts and techniques,
- improving students’ software knowledge and skills, and
- providing students with an easy-to-navigate out-of-the-classroom educational tool to develop their ideas and proposals.
Design comes in a range of forms, from the most abstract/symbolic to the very detailed and together these are used in combination to tell a story: the story of how you understand any given urban space and envision its future.
We offer a free, pre-sessional, online Graphics Skills Course for any student who wishes to take it. This course is self-guided and self-paced.
The course will launch on 9th September 2024 and for the first two weeks only (until 23rd Sept) this course will be staffed. There will be a forum and an opportunity to get feedback on the tasks that you complete.
If you miss this window don't worry, you will still be able to complete the course at any time during the year but the forum will be closed. However, during term 1 you can still request 1-2-1 tutorials to get graphic skills support and feedback on a specific piece of work.
